What’s the Story?
dQ&A’s Hypoglycemia Insights study surveyed more than 5,800 people with diabetes in the United States and six European countries.
Results show real-world evidence detailing hypo prevalence, its impact on people and their behavior, and the implications for HCPs and diabetes manufacturers.
Prevalence
Hypoglycemia is an extremely common occurrence for people who take insulin. Because of its frequency, even mild hypo drives significant psychological and behavioral effects. Moderate hypo is typically accompanied by physiological impairment and carries risks.
An alarming 2% of respondents reported at least one severe hypo episode that required medical attention in the last year.
