Towards Equity

Our hearts are heavy at the pain felt by the Black community. Racism is incompatible with our values and our mission to improve health; we are horrified at the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others.

At dQ&A, our focus is on diabetes and healthcare – but systemic inequality is itself a public health issue. We know that members of the Black community are disproportionately affected by diabetes and COVID-19 has only exacerbated inequities that already existed.

As a company that works to improve life with diabetes, the health and well-being of Black lives are part of our responsibility. Going forward, we will increase our efforts to highlight and report the health disparities experienced in our community. We will bring these issues to the attention of industry leaders and patient advocacy groups in diabetes. We will use our skills and resources to support individuals and organizations that are focused on improving health outcomes in Black communities. We will put metrics in place to measure and disclose our progress.

We are committed to working towards a more equitable future in society and in diabetes, and we invite you to join us.
